Launch of the International Judges Academy
The University of Haifa Faculty of Law is launching the International Judges Academy. Enrolement for the first summer session of the academy is Sunday 11 March 2012. This session will offer three courses taught by top legal scholars and judges, and will also facilitate interesting and valuable exchanges between judges from various countries.
There are scholarships available for the participants of this program.

Notice of Conference - Language and the Law
The Supreme Court of the Northern Territory will be hosting a Conference in Darwin on Court Interpreting from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th May 2012.
This Conference will be of benefit to interpreters who work in the courts, judicial officers, legal practitioners, court staff, police officers and other persons who regularly deal with people for whom English is not a first language in the context of court proceedings.
The emphasis will be on interpreting Aboriginal languages, although not exclusively so. The primary focus will be on issues that arise in the Courts when interpreting the main Aboriginal languages spoken throughout the Northern Territory.
